AI Conversation Practice (v2.5 Roadmap)

Status: v2.5 roadmap feature, launching Q4 2026. Not available in the current version.

AI Conversation is LangKey v2.5's headliner: pick a scenario, AI plays a character, you respond freely.

Why It Exists

Existing shadowing is repeating what others say — you just parrot. Real conversation is freely generated — you must organize your own language.

AI Conversation fills that gap:

• Pick a scenario (coffee shop order / job interview / asking directions / business negotiation ...)
• Pick difficulty (A2 everyday / B1 advanced / B2 business)
• AI chats at that difficulty
• After each sentence, AI scores + corrects + continues

Capabilities

Pre-built Scenarios

• Daily: order / ask directions / shopping / chitchat
• Workplace: interview / report / email reply
• Travel: hotel / airport / restaurant / sights
• Academic: class discussion / thesis defense

Free Input

Not limited to presets — you can customize "play an X role doing Y".

Sentence-by-Sentence Correction

After each sentence you speak, AI gives real-time feedback:

• Grammar error highlight
• Word choice suggestions (more idiomatic expression)
• Score (fluency / accuracy / complexity)
• Wrong words auto-enter SRS

Adaptive Difficulty

The AI engine watches your sentence complexity and auto-adjusts up / down:

• Too many simple sentences → level up
• Stalling / many errors → level down

How It Differs from Duolingo

• Duolingo conversations are multiple choice — you just pick from a few options
• LangKey AI Conversation is free input — you must actually type / speak
• AI role-playing is more lifelike, not a one-way question bank
